To survive in this highly competitive journey, Motorola is trying to find ways to be stable by bringing in different smartphones having exclusive features. Following the trend, they have launched Moto E6 Plus smartphone on 5th September, 2019.
Design and Display
Motorola is making the mid-range budget smartphone customers optimistic by putting in luxurious design section in Motorola E6 Plus. In spite of being made of plastic, it has a superb finish at the back which gives it a premium look. Splash-resistant coating has been imposed on it to protect it from water. It is 149.7gm in weight which is much lighter than its predecessors ensuring a comfortable feeling when it is taken in the hand. However, holding it with the naked hands, its glossy back part can turn into a chunking shape. To get rid of that, it is recommended to cover the phone with the case which can be found while unboxing the phone.
It has a swappable battery which does the work of hiding the removable battery of the phone. It is packed with microSIM cards. There are no nanoSIM cards available. However, there is an adapter given in the box which is a unique idea to attract the users.There is a power button & volume rocker given at the right of the phone whereas, the bottom part houses the mono speaker & power port. Moto logo, fingerprint scanner & the rear camera section is housed at the back.
It comes in four different gorgeous looking colors- Caribbean Blue, Rich Cranberry, Bright Cherry, and Polished Graphite. That shows their dedication to offer the customers a wide range of options to choose. It has a very tiny notch at the top of the display section which is one of its most positive sides.
It has a 6.1inch720 x 1560 IPS display along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 which offers the buyers a fabulous viewing experience. Its Max Vision HD+ Display can take every app installed on the device to a top notch level.
Camera section:
Motorola has brought a major upgrade in its camera section. For the first time, they have added dual camera system in their e series smartphone. The manufacturers of the company have emphasized largely on different features of the camera. There are two camera lenses on the rear part of the phone. One of them is 13MP f/2.0 main lens, whereas the other is 2MP depth sensor.The resolution of the snapped images is set at 4128×3096 pixels.
The 13MP main camera has a large pixel size of about 1.12µm which helps to capture stunning photos. Its f/2.0 aperture allows the users to take photos with enough detail & quality even under low light. It can also record videos at FHD (720×1080) resolution. On the other hand, the 2MP depth sensor camera has an in-builtBokeh mode which helps to blur the background of any captured photo. There are also some other exclusive camera features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus which can give you excellent photos in variety of occasions. The much improved dual rear camera ensures snapping well detailed photos in Landscape & Portrait mode.
In addition to those rear cameras, there is also 8 MP front facing camera available in the phone having aperture f/2.0. Motorola has also added soft screen flash option in it to capture amazing selfies even in dark lighting. The camera app installed on the phone uses a generalized interface which is familiar to almost all of us.
Battery and Performance:
The performance of the E6 Plus smartphone is decent enough for the moderate smartphone users. A powerful octa-core processor along with a relatively modernMediatekHelio P22 chipset have been imposed in the device to offer the users a magnificent experience. The user interface is smooth enough to navigate while using in day-to-day life.
There are two variants of the phone available. One of them comes with 2GB RAM & the other comes with 4GB RAM. The variants have 32GB &64GB storage option respectively which can be extended upto 512GB by inserting a MicroSD card. That is certainly helpful to store lots of movies, songs & even while playing high resolution games.
Motorola E6 Plus is packed with a 3000 mAh battery. It might not give you a long lasting user experience but in case of moderate use, it can certainly provide you an average battery life. A Micro USB 2.0 5W charger has been given in the box to charge the battery.
After the launch, the Motorola E6 Plus was priced from £99.99 (around $150 / AU$200) in Europe. It is expected to launch in India on February, 2020. Its expected price is Rs. 8999 in India.
Operating system:
Nowadays smartphone companies are battling hard to provide the users with smooth user experience & latest operating system. Motorola is not an exception too. To satisfy the demand of the customers, they have enabled Android Pie in their E6 Plus smartphone.
Security system:
Motorola has also looked over the security system of E6 Plus. That’s why they have kept multiple options to secure the personal information of an E6 Plus user. To deal with that, the phone is featured with both fingerprint unlock & face ID unlock option. You can easily unlock your device by putting your thumb in the fingerprint sensor. If you prefer to use facial recognition software, you can use face ID sensor too. Both the options are fast & easy to use.

Moto E6 Plus is an excellent mid budget friendly phone which has a glossy design & a decent camera section. There are a lot of smartphone within the budget such as Xiaomi Redmi 7A, Vodaphone Smart V10 etc which can give it a tough competition. However, if you are moderate smartphone user who is fancy enough in case of using a device, prefers the design of the phone more than anything else, then it’s undoubtedly the right pick for you
